Natanya is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as a National Certified Counselor. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Union College in Schenectady, NY. Natanya has experience working with adults, particularly young adults, in community mental health and college counseling settings.
Natanya’s areas of client focus include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, identity development, life changes and transitions, self-esteem, body image, interpersonal difficulties, family of origin issues, and general stressors of daily life.
She uses an integrative therapeutic approach, individualizing treatment to the unique needs of each client, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, and Person-Centered approaches. Natanya strives to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for her clients to feel seen and heard. Utilizing this approach, Natanya works collaboratively with clients to identify current challenges and obstacles, gain insight into where these are stemming from, and work to overcome these challenges and improve emotional well-being.
